Rick Santorum on Campus

The press release is out for Tuesday's event with former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, which is brought to you by The Rover, the NDVotes'08 Task Force, and the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. He will be speaking on terrorism and national security at 7:00PM in the auditorium of McKenna Hall.
Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) will deliver a speech titled “Gathering Storm of the 21st Century” at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 26) in the McKenna Hall auditorium at the University of Notre Dame....

The title of Santorum’s lecture references Winston Churchill’s history of World War II, “The Gathering Storm.” Santorum is writing a book on “the gathering storm” of the 21st century – the challenges posed by radical Islamic fascism and its growing alliances around the world.

The talk was awesome. I've never heard a politician speak so candidly. I guess in that sense its better that he didn't get reelected. Now he can say anything he wants.

I agree with ben, Santorum was very candid. I just wish that instead of baiting him, certain elements of our student body provided actual discussion and not unproductive liberal talking points. Free speech lovers? Hardly, the Left seeks merely to promote their speech while silencing critics.
