Another Loss for the Notre Dame Community

The third Notre Dame student to die tragically this semester, Andrew Bunikis, 20, was killed in a bus crash in Thailand on Friday.

Bunikis, a junior, accountancy major, and resident of Zahm Hall, had taken the semester off to teach English to children, as a continuation of a summer project through Notre Dame's Student International Buisness Council.

A commemorative Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 PM at the Basilica.

His parents and sister, from Phoenix, Arizona, would appreciate your prayers.

He was a great young man, moved to serve and help others. He graduated from St. Jerome's Catholic School with my son. He was well liked and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

No one ever said this thing was gonna be fair did they...
